Alyssia and Pat’s Fairytale Vancouver Wedding!

Alyssia looks STUNNING in her Disney Fairytale Wedding's ivory classic ballgown inspired by iconic Cinderella! The draped criss-cross bodice features a romantic sweetheart neckline accented with sparkling crystal beading and rhinestones. Delicate sparkles are scattered throughout the full tulle skirt and twinkle all the way down to the end of the sweeping cathedral train. Alyssia completed her look with a dramatic crystal tiara and a gorgeous live white orchid bouquet! We loved how how the couple went to a beautiful and private spot to share a first look before the ceremony and how they honoured Alyssia's heritage with a tea ceremony during the reception.
Alyssia and Pat were married at the Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby on August 24 2014.
Alyssia was able to give us some of her favorite moments from this special day:
" My favourite moment of our wedding day was when we saw each other for the first time in our "first look" photos. We wanted the "first look" to be intimate and a moment shared by just the two of us. It was very exciting as we had stayed a part from each other the night before and all we wanted to do was see each other the next day. When we saw each other - we were speechless! We were lost for words on how we both looked and that we were getting married and I think our photos depict that perfectly. After our first look photos we trekked around Queen Elizabeth Park taking beautiful photos in the gardens and views of the city. Julien Photography did such an amazing job.
Another highlight of our wedding day would be seeing all our family and friends. It's not everyday that you get both families and friends in the same room together, especially when everyone lives all around the country. It was so nice to see and share this day with people we truly care about and love. It was magical!
Our reception was another highlight - we enjoyed amazing food, speeches from our siblings and best friends, shared our first dance together as a married couple and also enjoyed a dance with our mother and father. A unique thing that we did do at our wedding was a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. I wanted to stick to my Chinese heritage and pay respects to my elders, while getting the well wishes for my marriage and future. The day flew by way too fast - but we enjoyed every moment and can't wait to see where the future takes us.
I also want to thank Ladybelle Bridal for being such an important part of my wedding day. My Alfred Angelo Cinderella Dress was amazing and made me look so beautiful. My Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dress and mother of the bride dress were breathtaking as well. I cannot thank you enough! "
